Aishwarya Rajesh's upcoming film Boomika has skipped theatrical release and will directly release on Star Vijay. Aishwarya Rajesh is receiving all the attention after the release of her latest film Thittam Irandu.
Directed by Vignesh Karthik, the film was released directly on Sony Liv and is receiving mixed responses from the critics and audience alike. Now, all eyes are on Aishwarya Rajesh's upcoming film titled Boomika. The film is jointly produced by Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films and SR Prabhu's Passion Studios. Boomika was earlier slated for a grand release in theatres. Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the film will directly have its television premiere on Star Vijay. Directed by Rathindran Prasad, the film will release on August 22 at 3 pm.
Boomika is an eco-thriller with horror elements. Speaking about the film's television premiere, Rathindran said, "In today’s times getting our movie out to the audience in the available platforms is key. With the premiere on Vijay TV, this will surely reach the masses which is the ultimate aim of a creator. I am sure they will enjoy this movie and with the performances of the star cast led by Aishwarya, this will be a thorough entertainer." Boomika also stars Paval Navageethan in an important role. Cinematographer Roberto Zazzara, composer Prithvi Chandrasekhar and editor Anand Geraldin are part of the technical crew.
