Actor Ajith is currently filming his 61st movie, "Thunivu". It is being directed by H Vinoth. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres during Pongal 2023. The much-anticipated movie is almost finished filming. The latest update on the movie is that the first single is ready for a release this week.
Director H.Vinoth in a recent interview opened up about the movie. "This is actually a multi-genre film, and cannot be slotted under one particular genre." he said. "Just because we had put up a set of a bank, people have fixed its genre as a heist movie and an action thriller." He added.
When questioned about the clash of Thunivu with Varisu, he said that it is a positive change. "Actually, such clashes between films should be encouraged. Filmmakers will then try to deliver a good film as they are pitted against another film. The numbers game is gone now. Our film industry has undergone a transformation post the pandemic-induced OTT consumption. Audiences have started to compare our films with global cinema." He said.
The movie Thunivu is is Ajith's third consecutive project with filmmaker H Vinoth. Both The majority of the film's filming has concluded. Director H Vinoth has been working to fully complete the post-production. The first single from the soundtrack will get a release soon. Ghibran composes the music for the film. The movie is slated to compete with Vijay's "Varisu" at the box office during Pongal. The precise release date has not been made public. It is because both movies have to protect the first-day box office results. However, social media has already become a battleground as Ajith and Vijay followers argue over the battle.
