Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s 'Prathibimbalu' Will Open In Theatres After 40 Years

According to rumors, Late Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Veteran actress Jayasudha's film 'Prathibimbalu,' which has been postponed for almost 40 years owing to numerous unavoidable causes, is about to be released. Its producer, Radhakrishna Murthy, is preparing to distribute his picture using all of the newest technology, including DTS sound, DI color correction, and other recording and mixing methods, to delight today's generations. The film will be released in theatres on September 20th, in honor of ANR's birthday.

The film was produced by Sri Vishnupriya combined and directed by famed filmmakers KS Prakash Rao (Late) and Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. Legendary music director Chakravarthy composed the music and background soundtrack for the film (Late).

ANR will allegedly play a dual part in 'Prathibimbalu,' which was halted for many creative reasons, such as artists' dates, financial concerns, scene changes after filming, and a few others. Due to the film's delay and a long list of problems, the directors have been preoccupied with other projects. The film is claimed to have been finished by 1982; however, it was never released owing to budgetary constraints.

Now, the producer appears to be quite sure about releasing it, claiming that it will sell well in theatres owing to its noble content and Chakravarthi's music. The film would give viewers a nostalgic sense because some of its actors and crew are no longer alive.
