Akshay Kumar dethrones the Khans to claim the big throne

Gone are the days when the three big Khans got considered as the top rulers of Bollywood. They are either not doing films regularly or their films are not performing well at the box-office. On the other side, it is Akshay Kumar who emerged as the real ruler of the Hindi film industry. Last year, Akshay came up with four films, Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good Newwz. All four films have become blockbusters at the box office and collected a cumulative amount of more than Rs. 700 crores. That is enough to prove the stardom of Akshay.

Now, another feather got added in Akshay's cap. In the recent Mood Of The Nation (MOTN) poll conducted by India Today, Akshay shared the top spot with Salman Khan as the top actor. Amitabh Bachchan claimed the second spot. Ayushmann Khurrana, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan and Rajinikanth shared the third position with an almost equal percentage of vote share. Coming to the actresses, it is Deepika Padukone who claimed the top spot even though she didn't feature in any film of 2019. Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra settled with the second position. Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt and Aishwarya Rai shared the third position while Shraddha Kapoor settled at the fourth place.
