Akshay Kumar welcomes Bhumi Pednekar as she joins the cast of Raksha Bandhan

Akshay Kumar is on an acting spree with back-to-back shooting for films. After Ram Setu, the actor is glad to kickstart work for Raksha Bandhan, and for it, the makers have decided to have Bhumi Pednekar on board. Announcing the same on his social media, Akshay Kumar shared a picture with the director Anand L Rai and Bhumi Pednekar.

In the adorable picture, Akshay can be seen hugging Anand, while Bhumi rests her head on Akshay's shoulder as they all pose ecstatically for the picture. Replying to Akshay's welcoming post, Bhumi wrote, "A very special film & a very special reunion. Am supremely excited to be collaborating again with two of my favourite creative powerhouses & humans. Am full of gratitude to be a part of this special, heart-touching story #RakshaBandhan." Apart from Raksha Bandhan, Akshay has a long list of films awaiting to release – Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom being a couple of them. He will also be seen in Atrangi Re, Prithviraj, Dostana 2, Housefull 4, and more. As far as Bhumi Pednekar is concerned, she will be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in Badhaai Do, which is the sequel of the hit Ayushmann Khurrana film Badhaai Ho.
