In a bike accident in 2018, he lost the ability to move below the waist. He was studying cinematography at the Cinema Institute in Kochi. He was going to the room with his friend Nidhi when a speeding car hit the bike they were travelling on. Nidin died instantly in the accident.
Somehow, by borrowing, selling, and helping friends, around 50 lakh rupees have already been spent on the hospital. The distant dream of cinema was giving Alan the strength to move forward. Even after so many years, Alan was still after cinema. The film started with the money collected by friends from various places and the amount that Alan himself collected from home through online work.
The film Glura is being produced by Clint Sebastian. Kannavam forest and Vagaman were the locations.
Carrying him in a wheelchair, his friends went up and down the mountains day and night with Alan. Along with directing the film, Alan also moved the camera.The shooting of the film was completed in a month. He made the film by overcoming all his limitations. Allen says that it has not affected the film in any way.
