Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed a baby girl into the world on November 6, 2022, as their first child. They have been overjoyed since becoming parents. “And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here...and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - blessed and obsessed Parents!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir", Alia wrote on her Instagram account as she broke the exciting news.
A while ago, Alia revealed their baby girl's name in another social media post, and it has a lovely meaning. Raha means "divine path," as Alia Bhatt revealed in an Instagram post. She continued by elaborating on the names' varied linguistic meanings. She noted that while it meant "clan" in Sanskrit, it means "joy" in Swahili. Raha means "rest, comfort, relief" in Bangla and "peace, happiness, freedom, and bliss" in Arabic. As she and Ranbir have experienced all of the abovementioned emotions since welcoming their daughter into their lives, Alia said, the name is best suited for their little princess.“And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun,” she further added.
Raha's wise and loving dadi Neetu Kapoor chose the name, Alia stated in the caption. In the image that Alia posted, she and Ranbir can be seen holding Raha, the infant in their arms. While the foreground is blurry, it is still possible to spot a poster of a jersey with the word "Raha" printed over it.
Comments poured in shortly after Alia Bhatt uploaded the post. " Raha Kapoor can I hold you can't wait", Kareena Kapoor Khan said with heart emojis as she couldn't stop gushing over the baby's name. In the meantime, Raha received love from new-mom Sonam Kapoor, who also sent heart emojis. Soni Razdan, Athiya Shetty, Zoya Akhtar, and numerous others sent love to little Raha.
