Malayalam actor Parvathy Thiruvoth says that girls are being exploited through fake auditions. If the legislation and resolution are not based on the Hema Committee report, those girls are at risk. “They are also artists and they have a right to live” Parvathy told in an interview.
Parvathy says that the delay in the legislation is putting a lot of girls at risk. “Even now, while we are talking some girls might be sitting inside a fake audition room. They might not be able get out of there. When I say you are wasting time I mean such girls are not safe. You are putting a lot of girls at risk by delaying this legislation;” said parvathy.
Parvathy also said that women are forced to leave their work spaces. Those girls also have every right to work. They are the artists who have the right to live. But they leave cinema and other workplaces. Because they think there is no law here to protect us. Maybe even if they talk it will take 5-6 years to get justice. Meanwhile the culprits live happily. So, they would only resort to this as a last resort. This is what I mean when you say you are wasting my time;” Parvathy added
“Every day you put me in danger when this law is not enforced. The answer should be given by Justice Hema and other committee members. But when you say go out and say it, you are shortening our experience. The problem is not naming anyone. The problem here is that you have not been able to find a solution to this. For the past four years we and the other girls who believed that you could find a solution to this have gone through traumas since then. All that remains is whether you have humanity;” added Parvathy.
Meanwhile, Parvathy’s new film ‘Puzhu’ is all set to release tomorrow. She plays the lead role with Mammootty in the film. Newcomer Ratheena directs the film ‘Puzhu’.
