Gold, directed by Alphonse Putren, is one of the upcoming releases in Malayalam that has aroused great anticipation among the audience. The film was announced to be an Onam release, but the post-production work has not been completed yet. One of the questions that the makers of the film are always facing is when will the film Gold arrive. One of the producers, Listin Stephen, also faced this question. Listin's response to this in a spontaneous style of humour has gone viral among moviegoers.
During the press conference held in connection with the promotion of Kumari, directed by Nirmal Sahadev and starring Aishwarya Lakshmi as the central character, a question was raised about the gold release. Kumari is distributed by Listin-owned Magic Frames. When asked if there is any update regarding the Gold release, Listin's answer is this: "the system hangs. It should be ready to give us an update on it." Listin's words were said in a serious manner amid bursts of laughter.
After the release was extended, there were many speculations about the film on social media. One of them was that the image file was deleted. To the question about the same, Listin's answer was-"it was there in a different system. So it's okay," Listin said.
After a gap of seven years after the release of Premam, Gold is the film that received huge pre-release hype as Alphonse Putre's directorial film. Prithviraj and Nayanthara play the central characters in the film Gold.
