Amala Akkineni is not only a popular actress but also an animal activist, human rights supporter, entrepreneur and also a philanthropist. She has recently received the Leadership Award for Exemplary Work in the Field of Preservation of Animal Rights and Promoting Eco-Friendly activities. Amala received the award at the 17th World Education Summit, which happened a few days back.
Upon receiving this award, Amala expressed her gratitude to her family for believing and supporting her in all the activities. Amala is the co-founder of Blue Cross, which fights for animal preservation and animal rights. Blue Cross is one of the biggest Animal Welfare organizations in the country right now.
Amala is also the director of Annapurna College of Film and Media, located in Hyderabad. AISFM now emerged as one of the finest film schools in the country. Many filmmaking aspirants from various parts of India, come here to pursue their careers in films. Both Amala and her husband Nagarjuna are the main pillars of this film institution.
On the film front, Amala Akkineni was last seen in the 2018 Hindi film Karwaan. She is currently acting in Sharwanand's upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual. She played the role of Sharwanand's mother in this movie.
