Amazon Prime Original Bandish Bandits Trailer: Musicians from different worlds fall in love at the backdrop of Gharana politics

Debutants Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhry play star crossed lovers in the upcoming Amazon Prime Original Bandish Bandits. The Anand Tiwari directorial explores Gharana politics. Bandish Bandits follows the tale of Tamanna, a pop star and Radhe, a classical singer; and the aftermath of their tryst with love. The show premieres on August 4th on Amazon Prime Video.

Bandish Bandits' trailer gives us a glimpse of the plotline and the intense love story that is in store. Shreya Chaudhry plays the role of Tamanna, a pop star struggling to make it big. She meets Radhe, a classical singer who is everything that Tamanna isn't! The two join hands to collaborate on a song and end up forming a musical duo called Bandish Bandits. While Tamanna is free to do as she pleases, Radhe is bound by the rules of his Gharana.

Along the way, the audience encounters a love story that blossoms when Tamanna and Radhe pretend to be boyfriend-girlfriend for the sake of the song! The lively trailer takes a turn when Radhe's guru disapproves of his parting from his traditional roots. This creates a rift between Tamanna and Radhe. The question on everyone's minds is "Will Bandish Bandits survive this?"

The trailer seems to be a promise of a cheesy love story with some amazing tunes! Apart from the debutants, the show also stars Naseeruddin Shah who plays the role Radhe's Guru. It might be a delight to see him essay the role. All in all the trailer is a promise of romance and conflict!

Amritpal Singh Bindra, the show's writer has co-created the musical show with director Anand Tiwari. The show features actors Atul Kulkarni, Amit Mistry, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Rahul Kumar as well.
