Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are the leading streaming giants in the world right now. Both sites offer a wide range of video library. They also enjoy millions of subscribers across the world. But Netflix is a bit ahead in providing quality content and a better user interface. One of the cool features of Netflix is the individual profile options. This means that if there are a few people using the same account, they can create different profiles for themselves. This helps them to manage their watch-list in a more personal way. Finally, Prime Video has rolled out this feature for its subscribers now.
Right now, Prime Video allows its users to maintain six different profiles. On the flip side, Netflix only allows 5 profile options. Prime also came up with the dedicated Kids profile option which is also present on Netflix. This option will give the library which is suitable for the kids' viewing.
Profile creation can get done through any laptops, android and iOS devices. It can also get done through the Fire Tablets, Fire TV and Google Chrome-cast. However, you can't create profiles through Fire TV home screen, Alexa devices with a screen and other home devices. This feature is now limited to only select countries. Amazon will expand the feature to everyone in the coming days.
In India, Amazon Prime Video comes up with two different subscription plans. Users can subscribe for a monthly plan at Rs.129 or get signed up for a yearly plan at Rs.999.
