Ameesha Patel, who excels at entertaining her social media fans, frequently posts hot bikini photographs that take the internet by storm. The actress from Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, who is renowned for being outspoken in front of the camera, appears to have run into legal issues. In a case involving fraud and check bounces, a civil court in Ranchi on Thursday issued a warrant for Ameesha Patel and her business partner Krunal. She has been charged with violating CrPC sections 420 and 120.
Ameesha Patel and her business partner were the targets of a complaint that was brought forth by Ajay Kumar Singh, a resident of Harmu in the Ranchi district. The actress approached him to invest money in a movie called Desi Magic, according to the complainant's complaint, which he submitted in a case of cheating. In addition to the film's production, Ajay Kumar Singh sent Rs. 2.5 crore to Ameesha's bank account for marketing and publicity. Although the film's production began in 2013, it has not yet been finished.
Ameesha delayed handing over the cheques after many attempts to contact the actress. She later issued him two checks totaling Rs. 2.5 crore and Rs. 50 lakh in October 2018. But the checks bounced. According to India Today, neither Ameesha nor her attorney showed up in court for the summons to maintain her stand. As a result, the next hearing on the matter is now set for April 15.
Ameesha made headlines in November 2021 in a similar event when her check for Rs. 32.25 lahks to UTF Telefilms bounced. She borrowed the funds to make a film and a Bhopal court issued her with a bailable warrant.
On the professional front, Ameesha will next be seen in Gadar 2, the follow-up to 2001 hit Gadar, alongside Sunny Deol. Its release date is for August 2023 and is titled Gadar 2: The Katha Continues.
