Varun Dhawan is one of the several Bollywood actors who are contributing in providing relief in the current times of distress. As the whole world faces the grunt of pandemic Coronavirus, Varun has stepped in to provide meals. The Judwa 2 actor will be providing meals to the doctors and the staff who are working day and night. Also, to the poor and homeless who are unable to sustain themselves in the current times.
On Wednesday, Varun released an official statement that started the details of everything. "With each passing day of being locked down at home, my heart goes out to all those who have no home in this time of crisis. And so this week I've committed to providing meals for the poor who are without homes or jobs. I also have deep admiration for all those who are risking their lives by working on the frontlines. I've committed to providing meals to doctors and medical staff at hospitals. All meals are provided through the Taj Public Service Welfare Trust. It's a small step. But during a crisis like this, we have to make every step count. I will continue to do what best I can."
Before this, Varun Dhawan contributed to the PM's CARE fund and Maharashtra State fund. He had contributed 25 lakh and 30 lakh respectively. Actors like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and others have too contributed to the relief funds.
I pledge to contribute 30 lakhs to the PM CARE fund. We will overcome this. Desh hai, to hum hai. https://t.co/E87IU22NaF
