Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has also extended his support to transfer migrant workers to their hometowns. Bachchan has arranged 100 buses to carry about 225 passengers to their hometowns in Uttar Pradesh. There were many women and also around 43 children in among the people who went home.
Five of the buses went to Prayagraj, two buses headed to Gorakhpur and Bhadoi. One bus headed to Lucknow. The migrants will head to their villages from these destinations. The members of Bachchan ABCL Corporation have flagged off this event. The migrants cheered and clapped when the ABCL officials flagged off the buses. Not only Amitabh Bachchan, but other Bollywood celebrities like Sonu Sood and Manish Mundra are also doing their bit in helping the migrant workers go home.
On the career front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the movie Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. His next release will be Gulabo Sitaabo. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, this film features Ayushmann Khurrana in the other lead role. The makers have initially planned to release the film in theaters but the coronavirus pandemic has ruined their plans. Now, it is having a direct digital release on Amazon Prime Video. Gulabo Sitabo will have its world premiere on June 12. Already, the trailer got released and received a positive response from the audiences. Amitabh also shared his excitement as this is his first film which is having a direct digital release. On the other side, he is also acting in other films like Bramhastra, Chehra and Jhund.
