Amitabh Bachchan kept the Sunday tradition alive by greeting fans outside Jalsa, one of his Mumbai homes. Hundreds of people gathered near Jalsa in a video shared by a paparazzi on Instagram on Sunday to catch a glimpse of the actor. Amitabh was dressed in a blue and white jacket, black trousers, and a cap to meet his fans. The actor was dressed in socks but no shoes.
The video began with people hooting as the Jalsa gates opened. Amitabh waved to the crowd from a wooden dais in front of his bungalow. He also smiled, gave the thumbs up, and folded his hands repeatedly as his fans snapped photos and video clips.
Amitabh also leaned forward, pointed to the people standing in the distance, and waved several times. Amitabh stepped back inside his house after speaking with his fans for more than a minute. A queue was also seen outside Jalsa's gate, in addition to a large crowd.
Amitabh recently resumed his weekly meet-and-greet with fans outside his Mumbai home's gate. Every Sunday, he comes out of his house to greet the fans who have gathered, and he even meets a few of them.
Amitabh stated in his blog last year that the number of fans who came to meet him outside his Mumbai home had 'dwindled'. An excerpt of his blog read, “… I do observe though that the numbers are in lesser magnitude and the enthusiasm has lessened and the screams of joy now transferred to the mobile camera... and that is more evident now an indication that time has moved on and nothing lasts forever. The Sunday meets at the Jalsa gate on Sunday to be revived, albeit with given precautions.”
Amitabh recently appeared in the family comedy film Uunchai. He starred alongside Anupam Kher, Parineeti Chopra, and Boman Irani in the film. The film, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, received positive feedback from the audience. Amitabh Bachchan will now appear in Project K alongside Deepika Padukone and Prabhas.
