Amitabh Bachchan took a journey down memory lane as he tweeted a photo from his second film, Reshma Aur Shera. Amitabh uploaded a black-and-white snapshot of himself sitting on top of a camel on Instagram on Monday. Amitabh struck a stance while looking at the camera, dressed in a white kurta and matching dhoti. He was also wearing a scarf over his neck.
There are several people and tents behind him in the picture. Amitabh captioned the post,
Unnt means camel.
Sunil Dutt produced and directed Reshma Aur Shera (1971). The film also stars Sunil, Waheeda Rehman, Vinod Khanna, Raakhee, Ranjeet, and Amrish Puri in addition to Amitabh. Reshma Aur Shera was India's submission at the 44th Academy Awards, but it did not get a nomination. At the National Film Awards, the film received three awards.
In an interview in 2018, Amitabh said, "I got an opportunity to work with Waheeda in Reshma Aur Shera (1971) early in my career. I could not believe my luck. To me, she has always symbolized the ideal Indian woman and in her personal demeanor. I found qualities that were similar to my beliefs. A quiet, modest, and reserved individual, she was a picture of grace during the film's shooting. The unit spent a great deal of time in the deserts of Rajasthan camped in tents at Pochina, a village some distance from Jaisalmer."
Amitabh recently appeared in the family comedy film Uunchai. In the film, he starred alongside Anupam Kher, Parineeti Chopra, and Boman Irani. Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta, and Sarika also appeared in the film. The film, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, received favorable feedback from the public.
Amitabh will next be seen in The Intern adaptation, alongside Deepika Padukone. Along with Deepika and Prabhas, he is also a part of Project K
