While the Hindi adaptation of the popular Hollywood film, The Intern, was in making and the lead actors were already locked for the film, the sudden demise of Rishi Kapoor brought the plans to a halt. But now, the makers have given a 'go-ahead' to the film and replacing Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan has joined hands with the makers and will be starring opposite Deepika Padukone. Yes, you read that right!
After their hit film Piku, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are all set to come together once again for The Intern. The Hollywood film that starred Anne Hathaway and Rober Downey Jr., will now be remade for the Indian audience. On Monday, Deepika took to her social media handle to announce the news to her fans. "What an absolute honour to be collaborating with one of my most special co-star again! (Yellow heart) Welcoming @amitabhbachchan to the Indian adaptation of #TheIntern," she wrote.
