Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff have worked together on more than a dozen movies together throughout the years, many of which have become huge box office successes. The duo is frequently recognised by their on-screen name, Ram Lakhan, by the crowd in real life. And now, we learn that the pair is getting ready to reunite on a long-form feature film. Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff are reportedly in discussions for the comedy Chor Police with Subhash Ghai.
Anil Kapoor plays a character from the family of thieves known as Chor, and Jackie Shroff plays a guy from the family of police known as Police. A source connected to the project said, The duo has a very dynamic chemistry in the film, with both character’s having opposite traits”. They also feel that the storyline genuinely justifies their reunion.
“It’s written by Anees Bazmee and Pattu Parekh. It’s an out and out comedy around the families of cops and thieves. The talks are on with Ravi Jadhav on come on board as the director. The film is at the moment in the nascent stage, but everything should fall in place by early next year. While the script is locked, the director and logistics of actors are been worked upon,” the source added. The casting crew is looking for a younger male and female lead actor duo in addition to Anil and Jackie.
Anees Bazmee's film typically feature cops, thieves, families, and a love story. The insider stated that the other cast members would also shortly be locked. Anees Bazmee and Subhash Ghai will produce the film. The insider concluded, "There will be a studio partner also."
