Two seacliff NY residents filed a class action lawsuit against movie pass as they felt baited by one of their schemes. lawrence and Laurie Weinberger register for an attractive $105.35 per person scheme which would allow them to see "any movie" in "any theatre" on "any day" to one per day.
However, the couple alleges that there were none of the screenings available on movie pass app each time they check in. By the end of their subscription they ended up watching just 3 movies and much to their dismay, movie pass refused to provide a pro-rated refund for the annual pass

New York case, however, seeks to represent all customers who subscribed for movie pass between Feb 2013 and August 2018. We have to wait and watch how this case unfolds and definitely hope it would provide the subscribers much-needed relief.
