One of the biggest disasters of the Hindi film industry is Bombay Velvet. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, this film featured Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead role. Made on a budget of more than 120 crores, this film managed to collect only about 30% of its budget. But Bombay Velvet still remains a film close to the heart of Kashyap. Not only Kashyap, but Bombay Velvet remains as a favorite for a section of audiences. On the fifth release anniversary of this film, Anurag shared a few unseen posters of the movie.
Anurag shared a set of posters with two Instagram posts. In the first poster, we can see Ranbir and Anushka posing in rugged poses. He captioned the post as, 'This day - Five years ago.' In another post, Anurag shared four unseen posters of the film. Along with these photos, he wrote, 'Four more .. that never came out .. courtesy @marchingants_ @rajeev_chudasama.'
Generally, no one shares about their flop ventures. But Anurag still remembers this project. That proves his attachment to the script. Bombay Velvet released amidst a lot of expectations but remained as a big disappointment at the box office. After this, Anurag decided not to make any heavy budget films in the future.
