Veetla Vishesham is the official Tamil remake of the superhit Bollywood film, Badhaai Ho. The film is directed by RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan. Balaji has doubled up as an actor in the film alongside Urvashi and Sathyaraj. The film is all set to hit the theatres on June 17. Ahead of the film's release, Aparna Balamurali opened up about the role she was playing in the film. She Essas the role of Sowmya in the film.

Veetla Vishesham is a humorous movie but has lots of moral values that audiences will take back home from the theaters It’s a very well-known fact from the original version that the roles of Sathyaraj sir and Urvashi mam are going to be more predominant in this movie. At the same time, Balaji sir made sure that my character is written and presented beautifully. Whenever I am there on the screen, he made sure that my character gets appreciated by the audience.
