Master of horror films Ari Aster who got wide acclaim for his last film The Hereditary, came up with his new film this year, called Midsommar. This isn’t really a horror flick but is a creepy thriller with a few unusual circumstances.

The film showcases the story of five American students group who travel to Sweden to visit a carnival at one of their friend’s hometown. This carnival takes place every 19 years and things go haywire when the event begins. The friends’ lives go upside down with these circumstances.

Ari Aster managed to keep the audience hooked to their seats with masterful storytelling. The comedy in the film is surprisingly good, which is not the case in many horror films. MAMI delegates enjoyed the movie throughout by yelling and hooting. On the whole, Midsommar is one of the best thrillers to watch at the Mumbai film festival.
