It is reported that Lokesh Kanagaraj will direct Vijay as a gangster in the film. Reportedly, the shooting of 'Dalapathi 67' will begin in mid-January. Lokesh Kanagaraj was busy with the pre-production work of the film. Lokesh Kanagaraj himself is writing the screenplay of the film.
Vijay is currently anticipating the release of his film Varisu. Varisu is bilingual film with a Telugu version in the offing. Other than Tamil and Telugu Varisu will also release in Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The film will hit the screens on the occasion of Pongal 2023. Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead in the film. Vamsi Paidipally directs the film. The producer for the film is Dil Raju.
