Bihar's Begusarai court has issued an arrest warrant against filmmaker and director Ekta Kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor. The action follows complaints that Ekta's new web series Triple X: Season Two abused soldiers and hurt the sentiments of their family members. Judge Vikas Kumar issued the warrant based on a complaint filed by Shambhukumar, a native of Begusarai and a veteran. The complaint was filed in 2020. According to Shambhukumar's complaint, the series has several offensive scenes about the wife of an ex-serviceman. Triple X: Season Two was released through the OTT platform of Ekta-owned Balaji Telefilms Limited. Shambhu Kumar's lawyer Hrishikesh Pathak responded to the national media that Shobha Kapoor is also related to Balaji Telefilms Limited. The court had sent summons to Ekta and Shobha asking them to appear before the court. Both of them did not appear in person except to inform the court that some controversial scenes from the series had been omitted. Hrishikesh Pathak pointed out that the arrest warrant was issued for this reason
