A few months ago, actor Arulnithi revealed that a sequel to the film "Demonte Colony" would be produced. The movie has now officially begun production. On November 30, Arulnithi announced the start of filming for the 2015 film's sequel on Twitter while also sharing the new poster for the movie.

He wrote in a tweet,

‘Demonte Colony 2’ will be directed by Ajay Gananamuthu who directed the film's first part. " Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar play the key roles in the film. Sam CS wrote the soundtrack for the film, and the filmmakers still need to reveal the remaining members of the cast and crew.

Ajay Gnanamuthu made his directorial debut with the box office smash "Demonte Colony." The film's narrative centers on a made-up horror tale that takes place in Chennai's Demonte Colony.
