Superhit Tamil film Aruvi is being remade in Hindi with Dangal heroine Fatima Sana Shaik.

Aruvi gets a Hindi remake with Fatima Sana Shaikh

Tamil film Aruvi, which released in 2017, turned out to be a superhit venture despite not having big actors as part of the film. Directed by newcomer Arun Prabhu, the film starred debutant Aditi Balan in the lead role. Aruvi follows the story of a middle-class girl, who gets thrown out of her house after she gets diagnosed with a medical condition. She lives on her own and overcomes several challenges to face life. The film is getting a Hindi remake after five years of release. The Hindi version stars Dangal heroine Fatima Sana Shaikh.

In a statement, Fatima said, "I am so thrilled to do the remake of Aruvi and really looking forward to diving deep into the skin of the character. I am really glad that Applause Entertainment and Faith Films have come together with E Niwas to make this great content and I am really excited to embark on this journey.” The film will be directed by E Niwas of Shool fame. He said that it is a privilege to direct Aruvi in Hindi, which will be produced by Applause Entertainment and Faith Films.
