It has been more than a year since J Jayalalithaa’s biopic titled Thalaivi starring Kangana Ranaut was announced. After almost a year, the film is finally making some noise. Recently, we saw Kangana getting prosthetic to make up done in the US for the film.
Now, the latest update is that the makers have roped in Arvind Swami to play the legendary MG Ramachandran aka MGR in the biopic, directed by AL Vijay, which will go on floors in Mysuru in November.
A source told a popular entertainment portal, “MGR and Jayalalithaa starred in 28 box-office hits between 1965 and 1973. While the makers needed a worthy actor to do justice to his role, another criterion was the artiste had to be fluent in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.”
Since Arvind Swami fits into both the category, he has been roped in. The actor will join the team from November 15. Thalaivi is a trilingual film produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaileesh R.
