The telecast is also getting tremendous response from the viewers. For the first time, Doordarshan is topping the TRP charts from the last few weeks. Meanwhile, the actors who were part of the serial are also becoming nostalgic while watching it once again on television. Recently, senior actor Arvind Trivedi shed tears while watching the Sita-Apaharan scene. This video is now trending on social media.
In the video, we can see 81-year-old Arvind Trivedi glued to his television and watching the serial with so much interest. Right when Ravan abducts Sita, Arvind had tears rolled down in his eyes. His eyes show us how much connected he is to the show. The actor earlier expressed his joy over the re-telecast of the serial. Many of the actors who worked for Ramayan has now got a chance to go down the memory lane. They also opined that it will give a chance to the younger generation audiences to know about the cultural history of our country.
This epic serial got directed by Ramanand Sagar. Arun Govil played the role of Rama and Deepika Chikhalia essayed the role of Goddess Sita. Sunil Lahiri played the role of Lakshmana and Dara Singh portrayed the character of Lord Hanuman. There are a total of 78 episodes in this serial. Along with Ramayana, many other old serials like Mahabharat, Circus, Bymokesh and Shaktimaan are also getting re-telecasted on television during this quarantine period.
