Arya’s Captain To Have An OTT Primiere On September 30

The sci-fi action thriller Captain, which is set in Tamil, will have its global digital debut on September 30 through Zee5. The movie, which was helmed by Shakti Soundar Rajan, was released in theatres on September 8. In Captain, Arya portrays a courageous military officer leading a group of men on a mission. The plot is set in a restricted wilderness that puts their lives in peril. The Show People produced the movie.

After the success of Vikram and Yaanai, ZEE5 India's Chief Business Officer, Manish Kalra, stated that the company was excited to add yet another Tamil film to its collection. “The movie has phenomenal visuals paired with great performances by actors. Captain also deals with multiple genres like action, sci-fi that the audience will enjoy. At ZEE5, our endeavour is to always expand the entertainment canvas for consumers enabling them to explore a wider range of genres,” Kalra said in a statement. On Captain, D Imman is the music composer, and S Yuva is the film's director of photography. The film will be available in more than 190 countries and territories. According to early reviews, the movie was praised for its original idea, Arya's performance, the visual effects, and the costume design. But the movie received criticism for its plot and writing. It centers on Vetriselvan (played by Arya), a member of a special task force. He is appointed to lead his squad to stop a menace from spreading havoc in Sector-42 Forest.
