Amyra was born and raised in Mumbai. She started off her career as a model. She made her acting debut with the 2013 film Issaq. This Manish Tiwary directorial film featured Prateik Babbar as the lead hero. In 2015, she made a grand entry into Tamil cinema by acting alongside star hero Dhanush in Anegan. That film brought wide popularity to Amyra. In the same year, she had also acted in Emraan Hashmi's thriller, Mr. X. In 2017, Amyra acted in her first International film Kung Fu Yoga. This film got made by popular actor Jackie Chan.
In 2018, Amyra debuted in Telugu cinema with Sundeep Kishan's Manasuku Nachindi. This film got directed by Manjula Ghattamaneni. In the same year, she has also acted in Raj Tarun's Raju Gadu.
