With just a few more days before DC’s Birds of Prey releases across the world, it has opened to successful and positive feedback in Mexico. The film which first premiered in Mexico on Jan 26th, 2020 has DC’s fans excited and happy with yet another successful rendition of a comic book film in the larger DC Universe.
Birds of Prey tells the story of Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie as she assembles a team of friends and other super-powered heroes to battle Black Mask. This team includes Harley alongside Huntress, Black Canary, Renee Montoya, and Cassandra Cain to take down Ewan McGregor's Black Mask. Birds of Prey is set right after the events of Suicide Squad.
Suicide Squad introduced Harley Quinn for the first time in a live-action film. But the film itself received a lot of criticism for its terrible story and direction. Fans, however, did notice the fantastic performances by Margot as Harley warranting her a second solo film. Unlike Suicide Squad Birds of Prey will not see Harley going back to Mr. J aka the Joker as the trailer already showed.
