Ever since Tod Phillips directed the latest rendition of the Dark Knight's primary antagonist, Joker, critics and award juries have taken notice. The film didn't just perform well at the box office but also received incredible praise for the cast and crew.
 
On Sunday at the Golden Globes ceremony Joker set yet another record. This time Joker broke the record of the most number of wins for a comic book film at the Golden Globes. No comic book film has ever received more than a single award at the function before. Joker's star Joaquin Phoenix wok the award for best performance by an actor in a motion picture and composer Hildur Gudnadóttir won for best original score-motion picture. This also makes Hildur Gudnadóttir the first woman to ever win this award by herself.

Ledger received a nomination back then and even won the award. After which Golden Globes has honoured various comic book films over the years with Ryan Reynolds's Deadpool and Marvel's Black Panther receiving the biggest nominations
