Atharvaa, the son of actor Murali, carved a niche for himself with his films. Now, his old film, Kanithan is gearing up for a television premiere. The film will stream on Colors Tamil on January 29 at 2 pm. Written and directed by Santhosh, the film is bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu. K Bhagyaraj, Aadkalam Naren, Manobala, and Karunakaran are part of the supporting cast. Tarun Arors essays the role of a villain in this commercial entertainer.
Commenting on the occasion, Director TN Santhosh said, “We had a good reception from the audience when the movie was released. I believe exposing such dark truths by adding engaging elements to the screenplay was a challenge. I am sure that the viewers will love the cat-and-mouse chase leading to some interesting clues. Thus, the screenplay will keep the audience engrossed till the end. The performances of the lead cast, especially legendary Bhagyaraj sir and Aadukulam Naren will definitely entertain all the viewers of Colors Tamil”.

The film's synopsis reads, "Gowtham, is arrested for submitting fake documents as he gets selected for a job in BBC. Gowtham works for a small-time TV Channel and hits a roadblock. He suddenly comes to know that his educational certificates turn out to be fake. This leads to him solving a series of dirty puzzles. Eventually, he discovers a mysterious route of unethical practices propagated and controlled by a set of malicious network of individuals."
