Avengers beats Avatar to become the highest-grossing film of all time
With earnings of $2.790 billion (₹19,257 crore) 'Avengers: Endgame' beat 'Avatar' in its 13th weekend of release to become the highest-grossing film of all time. 'Avatar', which held the record for 10 years, had total earnings of $2.789 billion (₹19,250 crore).
Marvel Studios sequel has earned $3billions since its release in April, breaking the 10-year record. The film, which was released on April 25th stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth. It earned $1.22bn in its initial April release, achieving the biggest global opening of all time.
In its initial release, it's just a few short of achieving this greatest feat and the makers re-released the movie with some additional sequences. Finally, with its huge market, it managed to cross avengers and most importantly in China it created a rampage of collections.
Endgame is the sequel to 2012’s The Avengers, 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, and 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War and the 22nd film in the Marvel cinematic universe and the fourth blockbuster in the Avengers series.
