Ayushmann Khurrana Responds To A Fan Who Praised An Action Hero And Slammed Pathaan

The actor Ayushmann Khurrana responded on Twitter to a supporter who recently praised his movie An Action Hero and slammed Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster Pathaan. Ayushmann, who identifies as a fan of Shah Rukh, welcomed the fan but showed disappointment in the attack on Pathaan. Pathaan, which was directed by Siddharth Anand, surpassed all previous Hindi movies at the box office in 2023.

An Action Hero, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, recently debuted on Netflix, over two months after it had its theatrical debut the previous year. A user commented on it and mentioned the actor. He said,

Ayushmann graciously replied,

The fan soon responded to this, “Same! I (love) SRK. But sometimes I don’t like the story as much as I love the star.” Ayushmann has acknowledged numerous times that he is a huge fan of Shah Rukh. Prior to the premiere of An Action Hero last year, he uploaded a photo of himself posing in front of Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat residence in Mumbai. Ayushmann was seen in the picture staring at Mannat via the sunroof of his car while onlookers took pictures. He shared the image and added the message, "Mannat se guzar raha tha. Toh ek mannat maang li (was passing by Mannat, so I made a wish). An Action Hero, 2nd December….”. Along with the message, he also included the song Baazigar O Baazigar from Shah Rukh's Baazigar movie. Anirudh Iyer is the director of An Action Hero. It was released in theatres on December 2 and features Jaideep Ahlawat as well. The movie, nevertheless, only earned a lukewarm reception from viewers and recently received a second chance on the OTT platform. The actor's next film, Dream Girl 2, also stars Ananya Panday. Nushratt Bharuccha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Vijay Raaz, and Abhishek Banerjee play key parts in this spiritual sequel to his 2019 film.
