Ayushmann Khurrana sings 'Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho' as he announces SMZS streams on Amazon Prime Video

Ayushmann Khurrana 's latest Bollywood film, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has finally streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film tells the story of w gay couple Kartik Singh and Aman Tripathi as they deal with their individual families and homophobia. The film received a lot of positive word of mouth from fans and critics alike. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is also the first commercial Bollywood film to tackle the question of homosexuality after the Supreme Court decriminalized same-sex relationships.

On Saturday Ayushmann Khurrana took to his Twitter handle to announce the release of the film on Amazon Prime Video. The actor captioned it saying, "Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan now streaming on Amazon Prime Video." The actor also shared a video of himself singing 'Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho.' Previously Khurrana said that SMZS is a film that is very close to his heart. He also said that the film is an important step in bringing such topics to a widespread audience. "This movie is very close to my heart. It has been a while since same-sex love was decriminalized; however, I believe we have a long way to go before the society accepts it. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a lighter take on the reality of homophobia that exists in India and also an attempt to bring such unconventional stories to the fore. Art and cinema, in my opinion, can do a lot to change mindsets. With Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, that was our intent, to bring the conversation on same-sex love to all of India. I am happy to have been a part of it and excited for the film to digitally premiere on Amazon Prime Video where it will reach a global audience,” he added.
