Recent Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum has become a hot cake in the remake market. Already, the remake rights of Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages got sold for fancy prices. Popular production house Sithara Entertainments has bagged the Telugu remake rights of this movie. We now hear that the makers have roped in Ayyare and Appatlo Okadundevadu fame Sagar Chandra as the director of this movie.
According to the sources, the producers have considered many directors to helm this movie. However, Sagar Chandra finally made it to get the directorial responsibilities of it. Apparently, Rana Daggubati and Ravi Teja will play the lead roles in this movie. It is being heard that the shoot of this film will go on the floors in August this year. More details of this movie will get announced very soon.
Directed by Sachy, the original version featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the lead roles. Ayyappanum Koshiyum is a tale of two ego-centric individuals. How the ego clashes between a police officer and Havaldhar has affected their lives forms the main crux of the film. It had hit the screens earlier this year and gained a unanimous positive response from the audiences.
The Tamil remake rights got bought by Kathiresan. He earlier bankrolled films like Jigarthanda and Aadukalam. The Hindi remake rights got bagged by John Abraham. He will play one of the leads in it and the other lead is yet to get confirmed.
