Bappi Lahiri hospitalised after testing positive for COVID-19, confirms daughter Rema

The surging cases of COVID-19 have brought a new wave of the fatal virus in India. No one, even the entertainment industry, has been able to protect themselves from the coronavirus. And in the latest news coming in, music director, composer and singer, Bappi Lahiri is its latest target. The singer who's known for singing songs such as Ooh La La, Yaad Aa Raha Hai, Tamma Tamma, etc, has been hospitalised due to precautionary reasons.

 
The news has been confirmed by his daughter, Rema Lahiri Bansal. "Bappi Da has exercised immense precaution but has been detected with mild Covid symptoms. He has been admitted under the care of Dr Udwadia at Breach Candy Hospital purely as a precautionary measure due to his age. He will be fine and home soon. Thank You for keeping him in your prayers always," reads her statement to the media.
 
Another spokesperson close to the family told the public domain, "He seeks blessings and wishes of his fans, friends & everyone from India and abroad. On behalf of Bappi Da, we are passing his message to all his well-wishers and fans to stay healthy, stay blessed." Earlier, celebrities like Vikrant Massey, Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, etc were tested positive for the virus.
