Movie lovers are eagerly waiting for Nambi Narayanan's life story movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. Actor Madhavan will play the lead role of Nambi Narayanan in the film. Madhavan himself wrote and directed the film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
On Tuesday, Madhavan spoke to Manorama News about the story of Nambi Narayanan being made into a film.
“This film was directed not out of bravery, but out of a need for it. I did not want to direct this movie. I had heard the story of Nambi Narayanan earlier. The scientist with an affair with a woman in the Maldives. So he is imprisoned. It was thought to be a James Bond story: a beautiful Maldivian woman and ISRO scientist. I thought we could do a story like that.
But when I saw him, things changed. I realized that this was no ordinary story. He never says his contributions are with great pride. He said the Vikas engine was developed as usual. But he was always angry at the case that came against him. He was upset and emotional when he remembered the case. After hearing his story I decided to write it.
I did not want to direct. I wrote his story because I understood the technology developed by Nambi Narayanan. What is the Vikas engine and what are its advantages? We all know why the Vikas engine has not failed for so long. Vikas Engine has completed about 80 missions. There is no mission carried out by ISRO without the Vikas engine. Mangalyan and Chandrayan, all of which I found amazing. I understood the technology and that is how I write it;” said Madhavan.
