It has been only a week since Matt Reeves shared the first look at Robert Pattinson's The Batman. Pattinson's new look in the Batsuit has received both positive and critical feedback. But before Pattinson, fans loved Ben Affleck in the role of Batman. Ben Affleck played the role of the caped crusader in Batman Vs Superman and then later in the Justice League film. Affleck later quit the role and confirmed the news on Jan 30, 2019.

 
Affleck's sudden exit surprised fans and lead to rumours emerging about the actor's exit from a popular and successful role. Now, the actor has finally revealed more news about his exit. In an interview with The New York Times, Affleck spoke about his time as Batman.
 
I showed somebody the Batman script," Affleck said. "They said, 'I think the script is good. I also think you’ll drink yourself to death if you go through what you went through again."
 
In the interview, Affleck revealed that he was going through the personal trauma of his divorce with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. He also said that the work was getting to him and he was resorting to alcohol.
 
The star has now moved on from this experience and is currently busy working for his upcoming film The Way Back. Affleck is going to star in the film as an alcoholic high school basketball coach. On the other hand, The Batman starring Robert Pattinson is set for release in 2021. Matt Reeves, director of Batman.
