Ricky Kej, a Bengaluru-based composer, earned a Grammy for Best Immersive Audio Album for his most recent album Divine Tides. He co-wrote with rock veteran Stewart Copeland (The Police), making him the only Indian to win three Grammys.
Ricky has previously received two Grammy Awards for Best New Age Album: in 2015 for his album 'Winds of Samsara,' and in 2022 for his album Divine Tides.
The composer expressed his excitement on Twitter and dedicated the victory to India.

Divine Tides contains nine tracks and eight music videos. The videos showcase the different natural beauty seen throughout the world. Ricky claims that several of the videos were created using footage filmed by friends from all around the world.
Speaking about his album after the Grammy nomination, Mr. Kej said, “Absolutely thrilled to be nominated for a third Grammy Award. The album Divine Tides has been my most creative and successful album to date. And I am honored and humbled by the accolades it continues to receive. Stewart Copeland and I created Divine Tides as an immersive audio experience. We hoped to transport our audiences to beautiful places and emotions through our music. And this nomination for ‘Best Immersive Audio Album’ validates all the hard work and love we have poured into Divine Tides,” he added.
Ricky is well-known around the world for taking a stand for the environment and creating music about the threats to nature. He has published albums such as Shanti Samsara and Earth Love. Both are about the world and the need to defend it from destruction.
