It has been a longtime dream for veteran director-actor Bharathiraja to make Kuttraparambarai. At several events, the filmmaker has expressed his interest to make the film, but somehow the film never materialised. Now, it looks like the time has come for Bharathiraja to put his director's hat on.
According to the latest reports, Bharathiraja will direct Kuttraparambarai as his next project. But, it will not be a full-fledged film but a web-series This big-budget web-series will have Suresh Kamatchi as the producer. He will bankroll this venture under his banner V Creations.
A few years ago, Bharathiraja was at loggerheads with director Bala, who had also announced a project titled Kuttraparambarai. In fact, they waged a war of words against each other and fought over who would get the title of Kuttraparambarai for their film.
The pre-production for the web-series is currently underway. The director is fine-tuning his script as he had written the story in the format of a film. He will adapt his script to the web-series format. Soon, the makers will announce the cast and crew for this grand project.
