Bihar CM Nitish Kumar recommends a CBI probe into the Sushant Singh Rajput death case

The CM of Bihar Nitish Kumar has recommended a CBI investigation with regards to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The CM, after speaking to Sushant's father, has recommended a CBI investigation into the death of the actor. CM Nitish Kumar added that the family wants a CBI probe and doesn't want the police to investigate. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14th.

 
Sushant Singh Rajput's father met the CM of Bihar on Tuesday. He had released a video on Monday stating that the family had stated their concerns about Sushant's life being in danger. The family released a WhatsApp chat with the Mumbai Police wherein they raised concerns about the threat to the late actor's life.
 
Siddharth Pithani , Sushant's friend and flatmate also released WhataApps chats from the actor's brother-in-law that he received. The messages show that Sushant's family wasn't happy with the company the late actor kept. The chats also reveal what the family told the Mumbai Police. The messages were sent to Pithani's number as the family could not get a hold of Sushant. As Pithani was Sushant's flatmate, the family contacted him. The messages were then forwarded to Sushant by Pithani.
 
The Mumbai Police issued a statement regarding the family's claim. They stated that the family had not lodged a written complaint. The statement read, "Today, KK Singh, Father of late Sushant Singh Rajput has released a statement saying that the family had made a written complaint to Bandra Police on 25th February It must be clarified that no such written complaint has been addressed to Bandra Police Station on that date."
 
"However, one Shri. OP Singh IPS the brother in law of late Sushant Singh Rajput, had sent some WhatsApp messages to the then DCP Zone 9 regarding this matter. The then DCP Zone 9 had called Sh OP Singh and requested him that a written complaint is mandatory for any enquiry or action. However, Mr Singh wanted this to be resolved informally, to which the then DCP Zone 9 clearly told him that it was not possible.- Shahaji Umap, DCP Operations," the statement further read.
 
Several developments in the Sushant Singh Rajput death probe have come our way. Sushant's father lodged a complaint against Rhea Chakraborty at the Rajiv Nagar Police Station in Patna. The Enforcement Directorate has also questioned Sushant's chartered accountant regarding the transfer of funds to Rhea as alleged by Sushant's father.
 
A team of officers from Bihar arrived in Mumbai to investigate. Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari, a member of the team was forcibly quarantined by the BMC. A controversy has erupted regarding the issue. The Bihar police and the Maharashtra Police are now engaged in a blame game. While the Maharashtra Police allege that the Bihar Police have failed to follow protocols, the Bihar Police allege that the Maharashtra Police is not co-operating.
