Biju Menon notes that Kochu Preman has left with a few days that we can remember.

Kochu Preman passed away on December 4. He was 68 years old. He died at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. So far in Malayalam cinema, Kochupreman has acted in 250 films and has been active in teleserials as well. Kochupreman's wife is the movie serial star Girija.
Biju Menon and Vineeth Srinivasan's Thangam was the last film Kochu Preman starred in. The film is being produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahad Fazil, and Shyam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios. The film is being directed by newcomer Saheed Arafat. Aparna Balamurali is the heroine. The attraction of the film is that Marathi actor and screenwriter Girish Kulkarni, is coming to Malayalam cinema for the first time. He is well-known to the Malayalee audience through notable Bollywood films like Dangal.
