Looks like the trend of biopics is not going to stop in India anytime soon. It has become a tool for our filmmakers to tell the stories of either eminent personalities or unsung heroes. According to the sources, a biopic of former Indian Cricket Team Captain and the preset BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly, is on cards. Bollywood's ace producer Karan Johar might bankroll this film.
Apparently, the works on this film were on for a long time and we hear that the script has almost got finished now. Currently, the team is in search of the lead actor. Earlier, Ganguly stated in an interview that he would like to see Hrithik Roshan as the lead hero in his biopic. It seems that the makers are approaching Hrithik for the same reason. Even Hrithik is yet to sign his next film and if everything falls in place, he might be playing Ganguly's role in this film.
Hrithik has scored two back to back hits last year, in the form os Super 30 and War. Thus, his market value has expanded enormously and including him in this film will bring a lot of hype to it. More details on this project will be out soon.
