One of the most anticipated films of this season, Thappad is gearing up to hit the screens this Friday. On this occasion, Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan wished the film's writer Mrunmayee Lagoo and the rest of the team a very best.

Cheers. a.," tweeted Aamir earlier today. Mrunmayee Lagoo worked as an assistant director for Aamir's films Talaash and 3 idiots. She worked in the writing department for PK and Dangal. Lagoo also assisted Aamir's popular TV show Satyamev Jayate. She has now co-written the script of Thappad, along with the director Anubhav Sinha.
Getting a tweet from Aamir himself has made the entire team of Thappad happy. Aamir is not the first celebrity who whished this film all the best. Earlier, Union Minister Smriti Irani also hoped that the film does well at the box office. On the career front, Aamir is currently acting in the film Laal Singh Chaddha which will hit the screens during Christmas this year.
Meanwhile, Thappad is a film that deals with the concept of domestic violence and comes with a statement that a husband cannot slap his wife at any given circumstances.
