One of the biggest hits in Malayalam this year is Ayyappanum Koshiyum, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the lead roles. The film was a thumping success at the box office. Due to its universal content, many people are now planning to remake it in various languages. The first one to officially announce this film's remake is Bollywood actor John Abraham. The Dhoom actor bought the Hindi remake rights of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The shoot will begin later this year.

 
John Abraham will bankroll the film under his home banner JA Entertainments. The details about the director and the other cast will be out very soon. Ayyappanum Koshiyum is the story of the ego clash between a police officer and a Havaldar. How far one would go to satisfy his ego, forms the rest of the story. The film is an action thriller which keeps the audiences hooked to their seats right from the beginning to the end. Especially, the performances of the lead actors got praised by the critics as well as the viewers. The film got directed by Sachy.
 
Currently, John Abraham is awaiting the release of his three films this year. The first one of them is Mumbai Saga, directed by Sanjay Gupta. This gangster drama features Emraan Hashmi, Sunil Shetty, and Kajal Aggarwal in the other lead role. The other two films are Attack and Satyameva Jayate 2.
