Popular Bollywood actor Boman Irani recently took part in an interactive session organized by Young Indians(Yi) which is an integral part of CII and their new project ‘Save Water Campaign - Jal Hai Toh Kal Hai’.
Talking at the event, Boman said that he feels happy to see young actors taking up challenging roles. “I feel happy when I see actors like Tapsee and Kangana take up challenging roles that reflect society. The industry has been staying away from stereotypical roles and I feel proud to say that the era of Masala movies finally ended,” said Boman Irani. Revealing an incident with a fan, “I was at the airport. A guy came up to me and said, ‘Devil is back’. I got surprised how a single line from a film got so popular that people are still quoting it,” added Boman Irani recalling his dialogue from Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's 'Attarintiki Daredi'.
He also opened up about his experience of working in the South. He said that he didn't know the language but with the help of translators he used the grasp the essence of the character.
On the other side, he might soon play a key role in an upcoming Telugu film.
