Visionary director's Shankar paved a path for many promising talents like Siddharth, Genelia, Bharath, and Thaman. All these actors proudly mention Boys as their maiden film and credits all their success to Shankar, who gave him the first chance. Recently, Bharath spoke on how he managed to land up in the gang of Boys.
Speaking in an interview, Bharath said that he was a member of the dance group called The Swingers since 1998 and they used to give performances across Tamil Nadu. In 2002, Bharath came to know that Shankar is auditioning newcomers for his new film. At the same time, Shankar's team came to Bharath's dance institute and recorded a whole tape of their performances. Impressed with Bharath's performance, Shankar called him to office. He told Bharat that the latter's dancing style is peculiar which made him cast the youngster as a part of his film.
The first time when Bharath faced the camera was for a sequence where he is walking across the beach humming a song. KV Anand shot that scene with an ARRI 435 camera at the beach house of Shankar in ECR road. In this way, Bharath has recollected his first-time experiences. Right now, he is shooting for the Hindi film Radhe.
